21 Savage & Metro Boomin - Savage Mode [10th Anniversary]

21 Savage and Metro Boomin built Savage Mode around a deliberately sparse approach, matching 21 Savage's low, restrained delivery with Metro Boomin's dark Atlanta trap production. The compact nine-track collaboration relies on deep bass, programmed drums, restrained melodies, and open space rather than dense arrangements. This 10th Anniversary vinyl record returns the original album on a single black LP with its complete running order intact.

"No Heart" places heavy bass and clipped percussion beneath one of 21 Savage's defining early performances, while "X" brings in Future over a more melodic Metro Boomin production. The title track reduces the formula further, using a spare beat that leaves 21 Savage's cadence at the front. "Feel It" shifts toward a slower, more melodic arrangement, and "Ocean Drive" closes the album at a calmer, reflective pace. These changes give the short project range and cohesion without breaking its overall sound.

Metro Boomin produced the entire project, giving Savage Mode a consistent musical framework. Low tempos, repeating keyboard figures, 808 bass, and minimal percussion dominate much of the record, while small changes in rhythm and melody distinguish individual tracks. Future is the only featured vocalist, appearing on "X," while the remaining songs stay entirely with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin.
